Hey Guys!!! 

Sorry I haven’t updated in a while – I have been too busy making more crafts 🙂

Here are some new pictures of some things I have done.  Cambodia is only 6 weeks away and I am still trying to raise about $700 more dollars so tell your friends if they need any homemade, love-filled presents to place and order!!

You maybe can’t tell yet, but this is a t-shirt rug that I am making for my friend as a surprise 🙂  Yay for affordable, sustainable crafts!!!

Thanks again for all your support so far!  We have been having pre-trip meeting every Sunday night and I am getting SO EXCITED for our trip!

Last night, Grace, an intern with The Bethany Project came and talked about her experiences working with the girls from Toppers and Fantasy World and she gave us a lot of helpful feedback about what we should prepare for going into the brothels in Phnom Penh.  It was hard and heartbreaking to hear, but only because it is the reality for so many places of the world – including Atlanta.

Hey guys!!

Thank you for stopping by Crafts for Cambodia!  This blog is aimed at helping me fundraise for my mission trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia this May and I am super excited that I might able to turn my passion for crafting into money for my trip!

For those of you who don’t know I have been given to unique opportunity to travel with the Wesley Foundation to the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, for 17 days this summer in order to work with Youth With A Mission. (Check out some of the awesome things that YWAM is doing all over the world at ywam.org)!  I will be going with 10 other students and our particular focus will be on working with the women and children of this area. We will be teaching English at an orphanage in the city center, ministering to women and girls of the sex industry at one of the city’s many shelters, and loving on the kids in the garbage slums.  Our vision is to see the people of this province living with the quality of life which God intended when they were created in His image. 

Due to the fact that I am trying to fundraise for this trip on a student’s budget I am asking my friends and family to consider financial support.  Through this blog I will be selling headbands (men’s and women’s styles), hairbows and canvases in order to raise money for my trip.  If you see anything on the site that interests you please shoot me and e-mail and I can make sure that it gets sent to you or hand delivered to your personally by me.  My goal is to raise $2,000 by the beginning of April.
